PROJECT LIST FOR 2026

We urgently need volunteers to assist with the following events or projects for the 2026 boating season.


DOCK FLOWERS

 - Purchase and plant annuals in the flower pots and place on the dock pilings

 - Flowers selected should be easy to grow, love full sun and possibly repel pests like spiders!

 - Club provides funding to purchase all flowers and planting materials (save receipts & submit an expense report)

 - Confirm that flower pot irrigation system is functioning  

 - Work needs to be completed early season just after club opening on May 5th


MEMORIAL DAY PICNIC - HOST

 - Seeking a host to plan and lead the Memorial Day Weekend Picnic

 - The host will coordinate the menu and purchase necessary items, including food, beverages, and decorations

 - The club will provide event funding and volunteers to assist with setup, cooking, and serving

 -Hosting this event is a great way to support the club and connect with fellow members


IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR CLUB GROUNDS

 - Need a TEAM to design & install a new underground irrigation system for club grounds

 - System to provide coverage for open lawn areas as well as landscaped flower beds

 - Water will be sourced from the lake using our existing pump system


NEW RETAINING WALL AT GRILL PAVILION

 - Need someone to lead the design & installation of a new retaining wall at grill pavilion to prevent ground erosion and improve overall appearance


UPDATED LANDSCAPE DESIGN & PLANTINGS

 - Looking for a TEAM to work with local landscape design firm to update the design for club grounds

 - Evaluate and update existing plantings, or introduce new ones, to enhance overall visual appeal while reducing long-term maintenance requirements


YEARBOOK & NEWSLETTER SUPPORT  (Chairperson)

 - Seeking creative individuals interested in supporting the coordination, design, and production of club publications, including the yearbook and newsletter

 - Collaborate with a local printing partner (Pierre’s DPC – Sandusky) to ensure timely and high‑quality publication as needed


    SOCIAL MEDIA   (Chairperson)

     - Seeking design-minded, creative individuals to assist with developing engaging communications content and maintaining updates to the club website and social media platforms

     - Works with  the "Board of Directors" to generate content and issue timely communications to keep our members up to date on club activities
